Current Devlog – to be released with the new client version v21

**Animations**
* Improved animation transitions into walk or run  — previously, characters could sometimes get stuck and slide/float instead of playing the correct animations.
**Added Hotkeys List**
* Added more configuration list options in the Hotkeys panel, allowing better setup support for multiple characters.
** 3D DragGhost Items**
* Fixed an issue where some objects dragged from the ground into backpacks appeared yellow, because their textures were not being rendered at the correct time.
**Containers**
* When swapping certain items, stackable items could show an incorrect amount until the slots were refreshed.
**Objects**
* I’m steadily and carefully filling in the missing 3D models.

**Pathfinding**
* Fixed an issue with pathfinding, mainly affecting the Venore area.
* The system should now correctly detect and calculate all valid paths.
**Containers**
* Fixed an issue with incorrect item transfers between backpacks, where items could end up in a different backpack than the one currently focused.
**Hotkeys**
* Added mouse hotkeys
**Character Outfits**
* Added outfits for Free Account and Premium Account, and completed the missing female variants.
**Emoji System Animations**
* I’ve completed implementation the emote system, a feature that has been awaited for quite some time.

**Floor View Stack**
* Fixed incorrect floor detection when the character stands on a stack of items.
* In some cases, a higher floor could appear above the character even though they were actually standing on a lower level. This issue has now been resolved.

Current Devlog – to be released with the new client version v19

**Item dragging on the map**
* When dragging items on the ground, the next move was sometimes only possible after the character stepped onto the item.This issue has been fixed, and item movement should now work correctly.
**Message spam (Server Info)**
* Damage messages for dealt and received damage are now shown only for your own character.
* Damage from other players will no longer appear in the Server Info channel, reducing message spam.
**Auto Spell Caster**
* The spell list has been updated with missing spells that were previously omitted and could not be cast from the panel.
* Mana calculation has been changed — it now uses a percentage-based mana threshold instead of a fixed numeric value.
**Side Container Panel**
* When a container was moved outside of the side panel, it was not possible to move items from the ground into it or place items inside. This has now been fixed and works correctly.
**Stepping back while using items from containers**
* When using items from a container, the character should no longer step back while moving.
**WSAD Mode**
* While using WSAD mode, pressing the spacebar could unintentionally toggle certain panels on or off.
**Creature paralysis**
* Creatures should no longer paralyze each other (e.g. Medusas).
**Extra Left Panel**
* Added an additional extra panel on the left side, which can be opened or closed at any time.
**Movement actions while clicking UI panels**
* When clicking on UI panels, the character could still move because the click was also registered by the game world.
* This has now been fixed — UI interactions no longer trigger character movement.
**Outliner and targeting**
* I added an outline effect for selected creatures and fixed outline detection on objects that were not always detected correctly before.

Hotfix:
Fixes issues with tile loading between floors, mainly affecting underground areas.

It is highly recommended to download this update to avoid related problems.

Current Devlog – to be released with the new client version v17

**VIP LIST**
* Fixed an issue with the context menu when clicking on the VIP list — in some cases, the menu appeared outside the game screen and was impossible to click.
**Shadow Quality**
* While exploring the map, shadows used to flicker when floors appeared or disappeared, causing a visible flash. This issue should now be eliminated.
**Water visibility fix:**
* On some levels, water had rendering collisions with other objects that should have been hidden. This issue has now been fixed.
**Death Panel fix:**
* After death, the camera will no longer remain locked above the character. Higher floors are now displayed correctly, and camera movement, rotation, and zoom are properly disabled while the death panel is active.
**Battle List fix:**
* Targeting creatures did not always correctly change their name color to red. This issue has now been fixed.
* NPCs can no longer be selected as attack targets in the Battle List, as this could previously give the false impression that an NPC was being attacked.
**NPC Channel:**
* Fixed an issue where messages could appear duplicated.
**Server Info Channel:**
* Fixed an issue where messages could appear duplicated.
**Creature targeting on the map:**
* Previously, creatures were detected based on tiles. Target selection is now performed directly on the creature itself, regardless of which server tile it is currently assigned to.
**NPC Oracle**
**Rookgaard update:**
* From now on, you can leave Rookgaard at any level. Your health, mana, and capacity will be recalculated accordingly after choosing a profession.
** Task System Panel**
* The Task System Panel has been completely reworked. I received feedback that the reward calculations were not worthwhile. From now on, selecting and completing tasks should provide significantly higher rewards, properly scaled to the number of creatures killed.
**Spell and rune balance update:**
* I reviewed the spell and rune calculations once again. Some values have been adjusted and should now be better aligned with version 8.6 balance.
**Containers and item usage:**
* From now on, while moving, item dragging, opening, and swapping inside backpacks is much smoother and more comfortable.

**Message box customization**
* Text size
* Number of displayed lines

**Save password checkbox**
* When enabled, your password will be remembered and automatically filled in after restarting the client

**Default FPS limit set to 60**
* Can still be changed in settings
* Useful for new players, as without a limit the CPU could run at full load

**Item dragging bug fix**
* In some cases, moving items on the floor was impossible on certain tiles
* This issue should now be resolved

**Stack Viewer**
* Allows you to view items on a specific tile
* Useful when collecting loot that was previously stacked

**Casted spells**
* Casted spells should no longer appear in private messages

**Pathfinding**
* Right-click pathfinding improved
* In some cases the calculated path was longer than necessary; it should now choose a shorter route

**Minimap**
* Dragging the minimap could sometimes trigger pathfinding
* Pathfinding will no longer activate when you only want to move the map

**Containers**
* When removing containers from the panel, an empty space sometimes remained
* This should no longer occur

**Light Surface & Underground**
*During login in underground areas, the lighting was not being checked correctly, which could result in surface light being applied instead of proper underground lighting. This issue has now been fixed.

**New Client Version Released**

A new version of the Mythos Online client is now available, including multiple fixes, improvements, and system updates.

### Fixes & Improvements

* Fixed the **right-click interaction** for using ladders from a distance.
  *(This unintentionally affected auto-opening creature containers, which has now been addressed.)*
* Fixed a **black screen glitch** caused by the fog of war not updating correctly with the player’s position.
* Improved overall **camera and visibility stability**.

### NPC Trade Window

* Fixed cases where the **buy/sell availability highlight** did not update correctly while loading items.
* Fixed the **quantity slider** displaying extremely large and invalid values.

### Mouse & Interaction Fixes

* Fixed an issue where the **mouse could capture focus on higher floors** when creatures were above the player.

### 3D Ghost Mode

* Fixed the ghost preview so it **only applies to items** and no longer selects floor tiles.

### Task Reward Scaling Update

Task rewards now include additional scaling based on **experience stage** and **loot rate**.

**Rewards (choose one):**

* **Experience:** 50,000 *(actual EXP stage ×20)* **(+2,000 bonus)**
* **Gold:** 12,500 *(loot rate ×5)* **(+500 bonus)**

This reward calculation applies both to the **Task Panel** and **Grizzly Adams tasks**.
Any player who had a **completed Grizzly Adams task** will automatically receive **compensation upon login** based on the new reward system.

**Pathfinding Improvements**
Pathfinding has been fully reworked and heavily refined.
It should now work flawlessly and far more reliably than before.

**Task Panel**
You can now choose between **two types of Tasks**:

**Experience / Gold Tasks**
* Fully individual and adjustable
* Task can be reset after reaching the limit of **1000 killed creatures**

**Item Tasks**
* One-time tasks that can be completed only once

For every completed task you receive **Task Points**, which can be used to:
* Unlock additional extra task slots (allowing more tasks at the same time)
* Reset the 1000 creature kill limit for a specific task

**Free Camera Viewer**
A free map exploration system.
Simply click on a location on the minimap with the **right mouse button** and the camera will instantly move you to that position.

*Auto Loot Panel 2.0
*Fixed an issue where, if a creature died while it was under mouse focus, its corpse could not be opened immediately. Previously, moving the cursor away and back was required — this is now fixed and the corpse can be opened right away.
*Cosmetic UI changes.
*It is now possible to purchase an egg from an NPC.
*Optimization improvements between versions v10 and v11. In version v12, these issues should now be fully resolved (as reported by players).
NPC Trade Window:
*When an NPC was selling or buying a large number of items, the item loading time was visible and caused the panel to freeze. From now on, subsequent openings of the trade window no longer reload the items and no longer cause freezes during the same game session.
*When dragging an item in the UI, you see its actual icon being moved together with the cursor.

Update Released
Particle effects will not emit an outline used to display or highlight the effect particles
When the camera rotation differed from the standard orientation, the character was positioned incorrectly relative to the actual facing direction. As a result, for example, while visually standing with their back turned, the character was treated as facing forward, causing spells like Exori Vis to be cast behind the character instead of in front.
From now on, when selling items to an NPC, the item positions in the panel will refresh in real time, ensuring that sold items are listed consecutively without gaps.
From now on, casting the Exeta Res spell will correctly allow monsters to be pulled toward the caster.
From now on, selecting a private conversation with a player from the menu will immediately switch you to the private chat window.
From now on, when changing floors, the mana bar above the character will update correctly to reflect the actual mana value.
I spent most of my time on further improvements to the Upgrade Item System:
*From now on, all items should be properly rebuilt and display statistics based on the current system.
*The statistics readout in the widget now takes all parameters into account.
*When hovering over an item while holding Shift, all item statistics will be displayed.
*The upgrade panel now includes additional stat parameters and a gradient bar that visually represents upgrade progression and statistics.
*Additionally, the Lucky Gem bonus has been increased from 5% to 10%, while its impact on the base upgrade success chance has been reduced.

Update Released
A new update has been deployed, and I hope this version will finally completely eliminate desynchronization issues.
In addition, a new patch for the Upgrade Items System has been released.

What’s new:
A brand new Statistic Panel has been added, allowing you to preview your character’s current, fully calculated stats in real time.
You can now enter a spell and check the expected damage range it can deal.
The panel also allows you to:
check rune damage output
preview healing values from selected healing spells

As always, please test the update and report any issues you may encounter.
Your feedback is very important for further improvements.

Additionally, I would like to emphasize that the game is 100% safe.
If you have any doubts, you can scan the .exe file yourself and there will be no issues.

Windows may report it as a potentially unwanted application only because I do not yet have a Windows code-signing certificate. Over time, Windows should automatically recognize and trust the application.

A new client version has been released.

I have very good news. I’ve identified the cause of the kicks and packet loss — it was the Cast System, which I’ve now disabled.
From now on, the new client together with the server works correctly, and everything is functioning as it should.
